Nicole Clark has a passion for working with entrepreneurs to create the small business of their dreams through implementing sound business plans and marketing strategies, creating reliable financial forecasts, and implementing action plans for success.
She has worked with hundreds of small business owners over the past 30+ years. Her company, KISStrategies for Business Inc., is a play on Keep it Simple Strategies for Business. The name reflects her desire to teach clients firstly, not to overthink things, and secondly, not to let perfection stand in the way of success.
Her focus is on simplifying the entrepreneurial journey for anyone who wants to launch or grow a small business. She teaches her clients how to create a viable business concept. Next, they learn how to formulate a business plan that provides the details for the launch of their business. This is suitable to be presented to a lender or investor to raise the necessary capital. Additional areas of support include financial forecasting, market research, business launch, marketing plans, strategic planning and overcoming overwhelm.
In 2017 KISStrategies launched its Performance Coaching Program. This is a monthly self-study coaching program for small business owners. It covers a variety of areas of personal development such as building confidence or improving communication. Please click here if you are interested in learning more about this program.
In 2018, KISStrategies is embarking on a new journey to take its business training and consulting beyond the South Okanagan to reach entrepreneurs across Canada. The goal is to help as many Canadians as possible to learn what is necessary to move from “I have a great business idea!” to “Open for Business”.
Founder, Nicole Clark, was delighted to be awarded a contract with Community Futures Okanagan Similkameen in September 2015, to collaborate with them on the delivery of WorkBC’s Self-Employment Program to entrepreneurs on EI, with disabilities, or with other barriers to employment. This is an extremely fulfilling part of her business.
Since establishing the business in Penticton in 2014, Nicole has guided well over 200 small business owners through a successful launch of their business plan. It thrills her to participate in the ‘aha’ moments her clients have as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey. Her successful results with her clients led to nominations in 2016 and 2017 in four categories for the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. These were Business Leader of the Year, Community Support Excellence, Professional Services Excellence, and Home-Based Business of the Year.
Nicole lives in Penticton, BC with her husband Don. Transplants from the Vancouver area, they thoroughly enjoy this beautiful valley and its fantastic climate. Nicole spends time as President of Penticton Women in Business, on the Board of the Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce and as a member of South Okanagan 100 Women Who Care. In 2017 JCI Penticton honored Nicole with an Honourary Membership.
